The Community Wellness Center is a space dedicated to improving access to health and wellness programs in Philadelphia.

Located in the West Philadelphia neighborhood, the center brings together fitness, education, and community programming in one accessible location. It was created to serve individuals and families looking for free, supportive ways to stay active, learn new skills, and connect with others.

Whether you are just getting started or looking to stay consistent, our center provides a welcoming environment for all experience levels.

The Community Wellness Center is here to support you and your family with trusted programs and resources. We offer a variety of free programs designed to support physical health, mental well-being and everyday life skills.

Maternal and Family Health

Education classes and community baby showers to support expecting and new moms

Fitness Classes

We offer weekly classes such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Line Dancing, Functional Fitness and Self-Defense

Menstrual Health Resources

Community Period Pantry, monthly education workshops and free products delivered with No More Secrets Mind Body Spirit

Preventive Health Screenings

Free blood pressure, A1C and cholesterol screenings to keep you healthy

Monthly Fresh Food Pop-Ups

Fresh produce, nutrition education and SNAP benefits assistance (in partnership with Sharing Excess)

Workforce and Job Readiness

Resume workshops, community hiring events and career programs to help you succeed

Youth and Sports Health

Sports physicals, athlete health education and family-centered engagement through sports

Health Benefits Navigation

New member support, help scheduling preventive visits and assistance accessing transportation and community resources
Who Can Participate?

All programs are open to the public. You do not need to be a Jefferson Health Plans member to attend.

We welcome individuals, families, and youth from across the area. Our goal is to make wellness programs accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level or background.

Free and Accessible Programs

All programs and classes at the Community Wellness Center are free to attend. Most classes require little or no equipment. If equipment is needed, it will be provided at the center.

Browse the calendar below, select the class or event you're interesting in attending and simply arrive at the scheduled time. Most classes and events are first come, first served unless otherwise noted.
